Adaptive Agriculture and Rangeland Rehabilitation Project (A2R2)

The Adaptive Agriculture and Rangeland Rehabilitation Project (A2R2) is a large-scale initiative aimed at improving the resilience of vulnerable communities in Somalia to climate change while restoring degraded ecosystems and promoting sustainable natural resource management.

Project Goal & Objective

Goal: To restore degraded land, conserve biodiversity, and enhance the adaptive capacity of vulnerable households through climate-resilient and sustainable natural resource management.

Objective:

Strengthen the climate resilience of rural households by improving water and rangeland management. Promote eco-agriculture, climate-proof livelihoods, and forest rehabilitation. Enhance governance and information systems for land degradation and biodiversity.
